*UPDATE: IMAGE URL SOLUTION!
1) Online Storage - Copy URL Address Link (no limit, no expiration)
See the following sections for instructions to each method.
*Don't get too stressed out with any of these processes (Mom! LOL) Some of this may sound overwhelming to those who are not familiar with web functions. I'm trying to figure out some photo details myself as I build this site. We will all learn together and make this site a success! Do whatever is comfortable to you and I will handle the rest as best I can.
PC Note:
Android Note:
Apple IOS Note:
If you are using a photo hosting site or cloud storage, then it's best to reduce the size of your photo before uploading. This will conserve your precious storage limits.
If you do not have a program or app to reduce the photo, texting a photo usually decreases the image size (you can text yourself!). Emailing used to reduce the photo size, but you would have to check your own email service for that. You could do a test by emailing a photo to yourself. Save to computer and then check the properties for file size.
Some photo sites may automatically reduce the size upon upload and restricts large, original size photos. Others may give you an option to upload the original size or reduced size for faster uploads.
You can right click a photo and view properties on the web or on your PC and view the resolution.
Most any photo on the web has already been reduced to a 72-92 dpi resolution so its file size will be small no matter what size it may appear on your screen.
Standard resolution for printing is 300 dpi, but if its going to be viewed digitally on a screen, then it should be under 100 dpi. The smaller the dpi resolution, the smaller the image file, thus the minimum storage requirements.
This is the suggested method to use to add a photo to your recipe. There are numerous options for photo hosting sites and most are free with a certain GB size limit. You may even already have an account that you can use. These dedicated photo sites or cloud storage normally show you the URL address that you can link to. Cloud storage usually allows any size of file to be uploaded. Photo hosting sites may have size limits. Both will normally have an overall storage limit.
Note that your photo file extension should be a jpeg or jpg, which is generally a requirement. Other formats like png and gif may not be able to upload.

Right click on photo, view properties, copy URL address, paste. Note that all usable image links will end in .jpg. (png or gif is not suitable)
Test it: Paste it in your browser to make sure only the photo shows up and not a link to the website page. Make a notation where the photo came from so that owner rights can be stated.
Google Images:

Copy the recipe title:
Paste recipe title into google search:
Click "Images" in Google Search
Paste wherever
This method works today, but there's no guarantee if or when Facebook will block access. Privacy settings may prevent people on this recipe site from seeing your Facebook photo if they are not on your friends list. More testing is needed, but appears to have no restrictions.
1) Go to album and find the photo (do not open it)
2) Hover & right click on the thumbnail photo
3) Select "copy photo link"
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?
4) Paste the link to Notepad to save it for future use, or paste it directly in your recipe post.
Marcie's photo test:
This is the last alternative. You can manually send me your photo via email or text and I will upload it to my own storage account for this blog, or you can upload it yourself using the "insert photo tool" when creating a new post.
Please note that I have one limit for all my many blogs so I would appreciate you using your own photo storage account to prevent my account from overloading, of which I will have to start deleting photo's everywhere, and not just on this recipe site. Finding a link to other online photos is the second best option.
I foresee great grown for this recipe site in years to come! So send me your actual photo if you have to. If you upload to my account, please make sure the photo resolution is 72 dpi. One photo per recipe please.
Use Google "Chrome" Internet Browser to EASILY find ANY web photo URL address, whether its on your own photo hosting site, Facebook or web photo's on Google.
GOOGLE WEB IMAGES:
Google search / images / view image / right click / "Copy Image URL" / Paste in your blog post or paste in notepad to save for later.
THIS EVEN WORKS ON FACEBOOK PHOTO'S!
From any Facebook page, section or album, click on any photo to view full size / right click / "Copy Image URL"...done!
MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER BROWSER WILL NOT DO THIS!
Other browsers may have this convenience also, you'll just have to check the browser you are using. I currently do not know the abilities of any mobile browsers at this time.
IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE CHROME
or any other browser like Firefox or Opera, that may capture the photo URL, then you can just facebook, text or email me any link and I will track down the photo and add it for you.

2) Web Photo - Copy URL Address Link (no limit, will prob expire)
3) Facebook Photo - Copy URL Address Link (no limit, may be omitted)
4) Actual Photo - Email, Text or Upload (one per recipe, storage limits apply)

General Tips:
USE NOTEPAD TO COPY/PASTE/SAVE URL ADDRESSES:
PC Note:
To keep a record or to "jot down" the URL codes to use later, copy the URL address into "Notepad" on your computer, or a note app on your mobile device. Notepad is a simple text program that loads in one second. Then simply copy from there and paste whenever you are ready to use it.
Android Note:
"Note Everything" is a versatile Android note app that I really like, which has an option to put individual note icons on your screen for instant access.
Apple IOS Note:
I guess I would need a suggestion from you AppleHeads!
CONSERVING ONLINE STORAGE SPACE:

2) Other Web Photos:
Right click on photo, view properties, copy URL address, paste. Note that all usable image links will end in .jpg. (png or gif is not suitable)
Test it: Paste it in your browser to make sure only the photo shows up and not a link to the website page. Make a notation where the photo came from so that owner rights can be stated.
Google Images:
Easy method is to Search Google Images for any photo available on the web, whether its on a particular site or just a general search.
View Image (should pull on its own screen).
Right Click.
Copy Image URL
Right Click & Paste where ever
Example of how to find the URL of a particular photo on another site:
Note: you can just send me the web page link and I will find the Photo URL for you if this seems like too much effort for you.
Website Page:
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Flourless-Chocolate-Cake-I/Detail.aspx?evt19=1
Copy the recipe title:
"Flourless Chocolate Cake I"
Paste recipe title into google search:
(optionally add the website name to reduce results: allrecipes.com)
"Flourless Chocolate Cake I allrecipes.com"
Click "Images" in Google Search
Find and Click on the desired photo
"View Image"
Right click, select "Copy Image URL"

Paste wherever
3) Facebook Photo Link:
This method works today, but there's no guarantee if or when Facebook will block access. Privacy settings may prevent people on this recipe site from seeing your Facebook photo if they are not on your friends list. More testing is needed, but appears to have no restrictions.
1) Go to album and find the photo (do not open it)
2) Hover & right click on the thumbnail photo
3) Select "copy photo link"
Use this method only, for there is no other way to obtain the correct URL that will work. The copy link, which I broke down in segments, should look like this:
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?
fbid=1194858365852&
set=a.1194856925816.29526.1660232578&
type=3&
src=https%3A%2F%2Ffbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net%2Fhphotos-ak-xpa1%2Ft1.0-9%2F1918493_1194858365852_2596452_n.jpg&
size=604%2C453
4) Paste the link to Notepad to save it for future use, or paste it directly in your recipe post.
I will then TRY to re-code the link in order to access Facebook's server directly.
WEBMASTER NOTE-Facebook Photo Access:(and yes, Karen is your webmaster! :)
Embed Code: <img alt="" src="http://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/t1.0-9/1918493_1194858365852_2596452_n.jpg" /><br />
Beginning-Server Access: src="http://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/
End-Photo name/location: t1.0-9/1918493_1194858365852_2596452_n.jpg" /><br />
* Change src from secure https to http* Remove php coding (% #A #F)* Do not use iframe, it does not work- use direct embed <img> tag* Leave html css style off (img style="height: 390px; width: 520px;") so it photo will be in original size. Not all FB pics are the same size and % didn't seem to work either. Use Blogger picture feature to reduce to med size.
Marcie's photo test:
If there is anyone who is not "friends" with Marcie on Facebook or even better, does not have a Facebook account....let me know if you can see this Photo. I need to know if I should take this option off of our site.
4) Your Actual Photo
